      Party Disaster

Antilla Stood in the doorway, shocked at what her eyes were seeing, but her mind refused to believe. Every inch of the room before her was covered in an assortment of the most random objects imaginable. Even the walls and ceiling were covered. "A hurricane couldn't have done this much," She thought to herself.
Of corse, Keanith was at the center of the entire disaster. There was hardly a mess in the house that Keanith wasn't involved in. It was as if wherever he set foot, disaster was sure to follow. It didn't help that when he tried to help with cleaning, the mess just tended to get worse.
But it really wasn't the mess that held Antilla in a shocked silence. Only this morning She had finished decorating this room for Christmas. Now, not a single decoration was visible. She couldn't even tell here the tree was, and right now she wasn't sure she wanted to. Snapping out of her daze, Antilla stormed into the room, right up to Keanith. "What in all the seven worlds happened?"
Keanith looked up, the smile that never seemed to leave his face barely wavering. He tried to appear as innocent as possible while he responded. "Well, you see, Tomth was napping on the mantle, but..."
"Tomth is in here!?!" Antilla yelled, interrupting.
"What, no. He got out before the fire could..."
   "Fire!?!" Antilla again interrupted.
"You know," Keanith said sighing a little, "this isn't a very long explanation if you would be willing to stop interrupting." He sat there for a minute waiting to make sure that she wasn't about to interrupt again before starting over.
"Okay, as I said before, Tomth was napping on the mantle when he knocked over a candle. He rushed off to get Tanni to help but I didn't wait. I cast a simple spell, but it got really out of hand and I kinda lost control. the results are what you see now."
Antilla looked around and sighed. "Well at least the room didn't burn down, I guess. But now how are we supposed to get everything set back up in time for Christmas?"
Keanith looked thoughtful for a moment, then a great big grin, big even for him, lit his face. "Why don't we get everybody over here to help, then when we're done, we can have a Christmas party."
"I'm not sure..." Antilla started to protest, but Keanith was already out the door.
It only took a few minutes for everyone to arrive. Keanith and Tannitha Started work on the refreshments while the rest got to work cleaning up. Somehow, all the decorations had remained in place under all the mess. They even found the tree which had somehow become camouflaged in the room. When they were done they all sat down and had a good laugh at the whole thing. The party was amazing with lots of games and food. No one was not entertained.
When the party was over and everyone else had left, Antilla turned to Keanith. "I guess I owe you an apology for getting so angry, thanks for the great party."
"Not a problem," Keanith said laughing. "I just wish Tomth was here to enjoy it."
"Hey, where is that cat anyways?"
"Oh you know," Keanith said turning away to hide his new laughter at this, "He's probably around here somewhere."

         End.
Hmm... Just what did Keanith do to Tomth this time, we may never know.
